well. it’s been a while since we’ve done one of these. the ebb & flow of life makes me laugh sometimes, as of late (in ideal shoot weather no less) i’m far less keen on such premeditated outfit posts as i have been before. that said i’m wearing nothing if not my summer 2011 staples: short shorts and knit sweater. picked up this salmon pink denim pair in the spring, instantly unable to deny their proximity to that so coveted Isabel Marant summer look (though it should be mentioned that anyone removed from the fashion (blog) circles, describes them simply, as “pink short shorts” immediately revoking them of any cool factor whatsoever). the knit is a piece i almost passed up last April, after asking myself what yet another cropped sweater was going to add to my sartorial life…well turns out it’s a damn good thing i went through with that reluctant purchase because it pairs pretty perfectly with anything pink i’m into right now. Can’t say i don’t love it when a piece you were hesitant about ends up being the same piece you suddenly can’t imagine your life without, thereby validating your instincts to make smart purchases after all.
