Mother Nature’s winter ways: Today’s ominous afternoon sky.

I’ve been wanting to do a post like this one for some time. Sure, it’s always fun to illustrate all the ways in which one can be creative with their winter wardrobe during these cold Canadian months, but part of me also felt like denying this look some Le Cheap c’est Chic real estate meant I was sort of cheating you guys.

The reality is, this is pretty much what you’ll spot me in day in and out during January and February. Although we picked the least illustrative of it– the sidewalks this time of year (and especially right now because of the above zero, below zero temperature see sawing) are literally an ice rink. It’s so brutal. In my books comfort ends up trumping everything during sh*ttown weather days and nothing keep the cold at bay and my kickers solid to the ground like this jacket and boots combo. So there you have it: my authentic winter uniform. With a bright pop of colour, to keep things interesting.
