beauty culture: straight story

Blame it on my recent stint in Costa Rica, which prompted this existential predicament: “Lauren, can I ask you a sort of vain question? HOW on earth is your curly hair staying so straight while mine is an unmanegeable mess?!” I learned quickly the secret to her pin straight tresses was a pre-vacay Keratin treatment. #lessonlearned, I sooooo should have been on that bandwagon.

Story told, I guess it’s to be expected that since CR, any hair product boasting keratin-infused straightening powers, immediately garners my attention. With my hair now shorter, managing the inherent frizz-prone volume is on a whole other level. With summer and all its sticky, humid glory a few (hopefully quick) months away, getting my strands in frizz/fro-control is constantly top of mind. Enter John Frieda‘s 3-Day Straight Spray.
