Kitchen’In: Strawberry Shortcake Popsicles
Right up there with Instagram (follow me: @stephaniechic) whenever I’m bored, multitasking, in between errands or all of the above, taking to my iPod for a WiFi connection and browsing Pinterest is basically second nature. And at this point, when it comes to my Kitchen’In inspo, the photo sharing site pretty much, takes the cake, this latest recipe being no exception.
Strawberries have to be one of the most festive fruits. There’s a bagillion-and-one ways to prepare and serve their sweet nature but a classic strawberry shortcake has long been tied with summer eats in my book. Which is contextually interesting in some ways because much like Strawberry Rhubarb, my chef mom never whipped these things up and so it’s not exactly a dessert ingredient I ever even grew up on.
With strawberries in majorrrr season right now and the chilled take on the summer classic being perfect for the relentless heat wave, it wasn’t long after a quick recipe retrieval, and grocery short list that these Strawberry Shortcake Popsicles came to be.
Quick and easy, low cal and summer-perfect, there was no way I could pass up on these frozen treats, which literally disappeared from my freezer almost as quickly as they came to be. Guess it’s safe to say I know a popular eatin’ when I spot it.
