One of the fun things about moving into a brand new space is re-inventing the decor. The month leading up to the move was so fun brainstorming all the fresh ways in which I could re-inspire my space. The rooms with the most priority were my office, which got a little bit bigger (but still shares space with another “room”) and my bedroom, which almost doubled in size.
I’ve long wanted some of the antlers my dad has but because they were always too big, I ended up deciding on these forestry inspired hooks from The Zone. The deer’s antlers will be perfect for stringing necklaces on! While the bronzed owls were pretty perfect as they were, I felt like the deer needed a little “boost’. Enter Amanda who simultaneously inspired me and reminded me that I had a prior affinity for spray painting (see gilded mood board below). I couldn’t snap the bottom half properly, but basically decided to pair my wayyyy neglected Citizens of Humanity cropped jeans with opaque socks and Aldo booties for a variation on my usual jeans look. One thing to note about rocking cropped pants with socks: makes for something rather awkward when shoes are removed. So sort of sees me committed to my footwear today. Top half is a thrifted tank layered with a butterscotch Zara faux leather jacket and that Free People fave, again! The weather is milllddd for February right now, so making the most of it!

Stopped short to snap this quasi half ass picture on the fly this past weekend somewhere between unpacking and running errands. Love the way these Hudson’s pair with the Free People jacket. Also, wearing the Zara tote i loved so much for a hot minute, til it broke and now it’s been returned. And pretty much exchanged for the clutch version of these pretty darlings!
